Over the past few days the WUSO Executive Board explored New York while attending various panels. The subjects of the panels ranged from getting a career in the Radio Industry and the importance of the different roles in the station to how to expand your station’s horizons. In the afternoons we explored the city by attending various concerts and venues. On Wednesday the group spent the night at The Bowery Ballroom to see Alpine, Kodaline, Magic Man, and Basecamp.

On Thursday, we enjoyed the events of College Day by discussing the ways to overcome some of the difficulties of being a college station as well as brainstorming ideas of how to overcome these problems. Later we attended the Music Director’s Summit in order to learn about the responsibilities of the music director and how we can expand our methods of finding new music. Following the summit, all of the stations came together for lunch. In the evening we took on Manhattan to attend more concerts. We found ourselves at Santos Party House to see HAERTS and Little Daylight.
