About the Hosts

Jesse Hudgins

Jesse is a senior who enjoys writing stories, creating music, and just having a good time in total. He wants to make a career out of being a musician, writing stories, or being a music journalist. He has been to many concerts in his life crowd surfing and moshing every chance he gets. Some of his favorite bands include Blink 182, Descendents, Modern Baseball, and Box Car Racer. Jesse’s been going to concerts for a long time, and the first time he tried crowd surfing, he was dropped on his back at an Alkaline Trio and Bad Religion concert.

Chloe Kallberg

Chloe Kallberg, or Chloejoy, if you prefer, is a senior majoring in writing and minoring in gender studies. A former employee of an artisan tea store, she loves all kinds of teas from lemongrass to pu-erh, but she couldn’t thrive without matcha. Chloe spends most of her free time reading a wide range of genres. While her favorite author is Marc Spitz (no, not the swimmer), Chloe also loves reading feminist and queer theory, 19th century literature, and any books she can raid from a garage sale or Goodwill. Podcasts take up more of her Spotify minutes than music; some of her regular listens are You’re Wrong About, American Hysteria, and Noble Blood. She’s also the singer, songwriter, and guitarist of the post-emo duo Whenever Forever.

Alternage Retrospective: Minor Threat

Alternage Presents: The Most Influential Punk Albums – The Clash

by Chloe Kallberg It’s mid-February of 2017, and the music wing of my high school is fraught with pacing theatre kids waiting perilously for their spring musical audition slots.
